After the programme recommenced on 5 January 2026, six new Presenters were announced for the series: Jasmine Harman, Laura Hamilton, Ben Hillman, Jean Johansson, Craig Rowe and Lee Juggurnauth. Three more presenters (Sara Damergi, Leah Charles-King and Danni Menzies) were announced to have joined the spin-off series What Happened Next.
That is an enormous number of people for a show that launched with 2 presenters. The A Place in the Sun presenters have had many face changes over the years, and all the lists you find online don’t match up. Here’s the actual list of who was on the books, when they came, and when they went.

Who are the current A Place in the Sun presenters?
However, the best indicator is the series announcements. The January 2026 daytime run showed the six above, based on searches for the series in Spain, France, Italy, Turkey, Greece, Cyprus and Florida. For the What Happened Next? Series, which returned on 16 March 2026, there was a larger field, as the series focuses on previous house buyers rather than seeking new properties.
A few other names show up on other sites. One of those is Lucy Alexander. We couldn’t find her in the series announcement, so ignore that one.

Jasmine Harman: the original face
After a tough selection process, she was one of only 4 contestants selected from hundreds of applicants to be on 2004’s A Place in the Sun: Home or Away. She previously worked in the health club industry as well as being a fitness instructor and worked for a radio station in Portugal. Her parents are Cypriot, and she was born in Hackney in east London.
Her profile has expanded well beyond the house-hunting, however. The BBC One documentary My Hoarder Mum and Me examined her family’s efforts to manage her mother’s hoarding disorder. It was renamed Britain’s Biggest Hoarders, and she subsequently became a patron of a hoarding support charity.
That’s a good piece of symmetry. Jasmine relocated her family to Spain in 2025 and set about refurbishing a tired villa. That was Jasmine Harman’s Renovation in the Sun, a 15-part series shot over a year, and there’s talk of a second series already filming. She spent 20 years finding other people’s perfect properties – now she bought her own.
Laura Hamilton and Jean Johansson
Laura Hamilton (2011/ 2012 – ) is one of the longstanding names, whichever account you prefer. Backtracking in time, her pathway to property was not a linear one. She made her first steps in children’s TV, including Nickelodeon’s Fun Song Factory, and then gained behind-the-camera experience in several Channel 4 programmes, including The Games and Big Brother. She finished second in 2011 on the eighth series of Dancing on Ice, and took up ski jumping on The Jump.
Jean Johansson joined in November 2018. She was previously described as someone who “developed a passion for property investment when she lived in Sweden for two years with her husband, footballer-turned-manager Jonatan Johansson”. Her first clients were a pair searching for a holiday property in Torrevieja, Spain. She has also featured on the BBC’s The One Show.
The newer arrivals: Lee, Leah and Craig
The last few years brought a run of new presenters, each with a different background.
Lee Juggurnauth started in spring 2021. Born just outside Windsor, he lived in Mauritius, his ethnic background, for some of his childhood and entered the music industry. After working with everyone from Lulu to Billy Ocean and Take That, he was lured into property development, with his debut episode filmed in Oliva, Spain, and it rained the entire time.
Leah Charles-King arrived a few months later, in autumn 2021. She has over 30 years of experience in the entertainment industry as a music artist, TV presenter and radio host. She and her parents also have property and land in Saint Lucia and Grenada.
Craig Rowe was the next to join, with his debut in January 2022. The Bristol-born presenter, who sounded a little familiar, made a name for himself hosting shows on QVC, CBBC and Sky Travel, and as a gadget expert on ITV’s This Morning. Earlier, the then-travel expert was the youngest-ever tour manager for a holiday company at the age of 18.
Ben, Danni and the wider team
Ben Hillman has been on the rota for years and is included in the January 2026 list. We weren’t sure of his date of arrival, so we haven’t included one. Danni Menzies is featured in the March 2026 What Happened Next? Announcement. Sara Damergi also features in the same announcement, but we’ve been unable to find any verified biographical info, so we’ve omitted the date rather than make one up.
Scarlette Douglas appeared in the team in 2021 and 2022 but is missing from the 2026 announcements.
Remembering Jonnie Irwin
There’s no such thing as a Place in the Sun presenter without Jonnie Irwin. He joined Jasmine on the programme back in 2004, and has since been a key part of the BBC’s Escape to the Country. Jonnie announced back in 2022 that he had been diagnosed with terminal lung cancer– two years after he was diagnosed. The first symptom showed itself in Italy while shooting the series, where he found that his vision had started to go blurry behind the wheel of a car.
He passed away on 2 February 2024, aged 50. Jessica and their three boys are survived by him. Jasmine described him as her “partner in crime”, her “OG co-presenter”. The strength of the affection expressed for him in the way the presenters still speak about him can speak volumes about the closeness of the original team.
Why the line-up matters to viewers
People have their favourites. One person prefers the seasoned property developer, while the next prefers one who is good at the delicate task of calming a nervous couple, or the one who secures the affordable village house. The fact that the team changes from show to show gives each one a slightly different flavour, but at the same time the format is consistent, which viewers like. Similarly, the A Place in the Sun presenters are fairly transparent about their own property history.
The cast will continue to evolve, as they have done since 2004. Regardless of who takes over the next series, the A Place in the Sun hosts are the main reason the show has so many fans.
