Opinion: Fame Is a Job, Not a Personality

There is a version of celebrity that works, and it looks unglamorous from outside: a schedule, a team, a clear line between the work and the person.
The failures we cover so eagerly almost always come from the erasure of that line — when the performance never stops and the audience becomes the only mirror.
Publications like this one are part of the machinery. Pretending otherwise would be dishonest.
What we can do is cover the work first and the person second, and resist the stories that only exist because someone is having a bad year.
